JEFFREY C. SMITH

Jeff has been providing advice and counsel to individuals and business clients in a wide array of matters for over twenty-five years. Along with providing general legal counsel to his clients, Jeff has a great deal of experience in litigating cases in both State and Federal court. He has tried cases before judges, juries, arbitrators and administrative hearing officers. Likewise, he has handled numerous appellate matters. He is also a certified mediator and has participated in scores of successful mediations. Jeff has also served as an Administrative Law Judge, and as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Alabama, and as an Assistant District Attorney for the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s Office.

Due to his unique background and experience, Jeff has the ability to relate to his client’s particular needs and the wide range of legal issues that they face. Jeff is a first-generation college graduate and served four years on active duty in the U. S. Army prior to attending the University of Alabama. Jeff has lived in numerous parts of the country as well as abroad. He has also been involved in mission work both at home and abroad. As a result of those experiences, he has a sincere passion to use his God given gifts and talents to serve his clients.

Jeff’s practice primarily focuses on commercial and business-related litigation. However, he also assists individuals with personal injury, real estate, construction, employment, environmental, and other general legal matters. Jeff is also board certified in both in Civil Litigation and Civil Pretrial Litigation by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

KATIE MARIE MCENTYRE

Katie is a Tuscaloosa native with a passion for the people and businesses of Alabama. A recent graduate of The George Washington University Law School in Washington D.C., Katie Marie graduated with a specialization in Energy and Environmental Law. While in D.C. Katie Marie worked for the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers, assisting with cases at the United States Supreme Court and Federal Court of Appeals level addressing Fuel & Vehicle Mandates, Clean Air Act and Climate Litigation, Transportation & Infrastructure, and Regulatory Reform at the state and federal level, and was consistently involved with an array of federal agencies, including the EPA, SEC, DOE, and NHTSA. Katie Marie has spent time on Capitol Hill, working for Senator Richard Shelby, and is versed on every stage of the lawmaking process, from the Hill to the impacts it has on the everyday lives of the people. With experience in both large, national law firms, and small to medium sized firms, Katie Marie’s diverse experience in the legal field allows her to provide a unique experience to those in need of legal assistance. Katie Marie handles not only energy and environmental matters, but is well versed in construction law, employment law, civil litigation, and other general legal matters.
